Do Duy Thinh is an Architect and Researcher who helps to build the environment for enhancing the quality of life and creating environmental justice. Thinh Do Duy holds a PhD in Urban Design & Architecture Planning in Hokkaido University, an MEng.L.Arch from Southeast University, and a B.Arch in Architecture from Da Nang University.
Prior to joining the University of Chicago to be Fulbright Visiting Scholar, he was a lecturer in Architecture Faculty at Mien Tay Construction University and Visiting lecturer at Ho Chi Minh University of Technology and Education, University of Economic of Ho Chi Minh and Ton Duc Thang University.

He works on the issues related to the relationship between the environment and people on different scales. He also works on the ecological landscape within urban regions.

He is currently working to proceed a book on the subject titled Natural, Urban and Psychological Ecosystem: Theory, Design and Planning Method. This book discusses the problems that arise in the application of different urban development ideas and theories; it also discusses the role and characteristics of the psychological ecosystem in creating a sustainable living environment in accordance with the characteristics of culture and community. The book is an opportunity to examine and learn from each other between Eastern and Western in building a better urban environment.
